Murray Hodgson, Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS) Kindergarten and Elementary School Principal participated in the 100-km Jakarta Ultra Marathon in Jakarta, Saturday (12/11/2016). Murray decided to take part in the event so he could also raise funds for the 7 victims of the JIS case who are currently still in prison. Several irregularities in the case have surfaced, garnering public sympathy toward the seven people currently still in detention. Murray aimed to raise US$ 10,000 by running 100 km.  To date, more than US$ 15,000 has been raised through donations from students, parents, teachers, colleagues and friends both from Indonesia and different corners of the globe.  Funds can still be donated to the cause:…/100k-run-for-innocent–2

The Justice for the Innocent Group is in charge of allocating any funds raised and the donations continue to go directly to the cleaner’s families to pay for their monthly salaries, to a fund for Ferdi and Sisca’s girls education, and a weekend meal fund for both Neil and Ferdi. (They receive restaurant meals on Saturday and Sunday and any school holidays)
